First have fun in the Damajagua Waterfalls natural water park by Damajagua River - wade, swim, slide and jump, if you like! :) This activity is thrilling but safe, and along the way you will admire a tropical forest and a spectacular limestone canyon carved by a mountain stream.

Next, admire the colonial city and visit rum and chocolate factories. Explore the Umbrella Street and Pink Street. Discover a 16th-century spanish fort on the promontory of La Puntilla overlooking the lighthouse, amphitheater and Puerto Plata harbor bay. Enjoy the dominican lunch, branded rum and organic chocolate :)

And how about being tempted to make a spectacular ascent of Mount Isabela? Along the way you'll see villages with typical rural buildings, traditional wooden houses, farm animals and tropical forest. At the top, you'll enjoy a panoramic view of the coast, the city of Puerto Plata from a bird's eye view, the statue of Christ the Redeemer and a fabulous botanical garden.

      What to bring
        • please remember to bring your swimwear or/and comfortable t-shirt and shorts for the canyoning activity;
        • if you have water shoes, also bring them with you; otherwise, you can rent them on the spot for 2 USD;
        • sports camera or/and waterproof phone case would be a great idea; optionally, you can also purchase a set of photos and videos from hired photographers(it has cost of 50 USD);
        • don't forget to bring a change of dry clothes for exploring the city;
